Welcome to Nordic Access webinar on the 21st March 2024. Webinar is designed for HealthTech and MedTech companies that are interested in testing and piloting their products in the Nordic region.
Nordic Access service connects HealthTech companies with the largest network of testing actors in the Nordics. Participating companies quickly gain access to multiple testing sites throughout the Nordics. For companies, speed and saved time and money are the paramount.
Previously it has been a chore for the companies to find even one testing partner from their own country. Now many of the participating companies end up testing at several locations and countries. In the Nordic setting the testing often takes place with public institutions, which have been notoriously hard to reach.
In addition to finding and naming the most suitable testing partners, the Nordic Access service also helps companies to articulate their testing needs and goals. When this is clear, starting the testing negotiations becomes much easier and there is a fair chance that the actual service or solution testing will yield useful and wanted results.
Testing at multiple sites and countries
FunctionApp Oy develops and sells mobile applications that give practical help to people with neuropsychological and ADHD challenges. The application is intended to be used by both the client and the health professionals working with them. After participating in Nordic Access service FunctionApp has successfully completed a three months long solution testing together with the Wellbeing Service County of Central Uusimaa, Finland (Keusote) and Active Life Lab of South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences. Following the successful completion of this testing, the company has already begun their second testing with Satakunta Testbed, another testing partner of Nordic Access.
– The Nordic Access Service is very useful in defining testing needs, approaching testing partners, speeding up the process of getting the solution tested and making communication with the testing partners easier and more efficient, states Anne Repo, CEO of FunctionApp.
Nordic Access – a shortcut to a new markets
Nordic Access service and the network of testing actors has proven to be key facilitators in helping companies not only to test their products or solutions but also to explore and expand into new Nordic markets.
One standout success story involves YetiCare Oy. A Finnish company, which just completed exhibiting its solution at DokkX in Aarhus and is now preparing for another pilot project at the unique housing project called Generationernes Hus in Aarhus.
– Our meeting with Nordic Access has been very valuable. We are already at the exhibition and we also have a pilot project on the way. Hopefully, there will be even more of it in the future. Through the collaboration with Nordic Access, we have saved an enormous amount of time. Beforehand, we knew nothing about the Danish market, and Nordic Access has been our way into a large amount of knowledge. They have actually saved us several years of work, says Jesper Tana, Sales Channel Manager at YetiCare.
These success stories underscore the added value that Nordic Access brings in connecting HealthTech and MedTech companies with the right testing actors across the Nordics. By reducing the complexities involved in testing and market exploration, the service is playing a crucial role in helping businesses scale their solutions in a Nordic Healthcare landscape.
Are you looking for testing opportunities across the Nordics?
The first step in participating in the service is to fill out the on-line workbook. After that the company will be invited to the next regular one hour long Nordic Access Board consultation. There the participating companies present their solutions to experts from Denmark, Finland and Sweden.
In addition to instant feedback the companies will receive a Test Readiness Certificate and recommendations of the most suitable testing actors. The Nordic Access service is free of charge for companies until May 2025

The Nordic Access Team recently visited Iceland, spanning from the southern to northern regions. This expedition strategically designed to capture the entire spectrum of health landscapes resulted in a profound understanding of healthcare practices and collaborative endeavours.
The first version of the Service that aims to help companies communicate their testing needs to the Testbeds was introduced in November. The Service is developed by the One Stop Funnel for Testing -project run by the City of Aarhus, Region Västerbotten and Arnora Oy.
