Thomas Langø is Chief Scientist in medical technology at St. Olavs hospital and SINTEF Digital, Dept. Health Research, Trondheim, Norway. He received his MSc in Biophysics and Medical Technology (1996) and PhD in Medical Cybernetics (2000) from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has 30 years of experience in research, development, and innovation in medical technology, with main expertise in the fields of medical cybernetics, ultrasound-guided minimally invasive diagnostics and surgery/therapeutics, medical image analysis including artificial intelligence and machine learning, new medical imaging techniques, navigation and guidance technology, medical robotics, and new clinical applications in minimal invasive and non-invasive diagnosis and treatment.

Teknologi i Praksis, a Danish health technology expert and development organisation, has joined the Nordic Access to support HealthTech and MedTech startups and growth companies in finding testing and validation partners.

One Stop Funnel, a project co-funded by Nordic Innovation, concluded its final phase in October 2025. While the funded period was ended, the Nordic Access Service is set to continue, preserving this vital pathway to the Nordic market.

The Nordic Access Service consortium recently gathered in Lappeenranta, Finland for its final consortium meeting. From now Nordic Access service will be available commercially.

The Nordic Access team has just concluded a successful visit to Denmark. Through co-operation with Denmark’s most forward-thinking hubs, Nordic Access can provide companies with expanded opportunities to test and scale their HealthTech solutions in real-world environments.

Welcome to Nordic Access webinar on the 21st March 2024. Webinar is designed for HealthTech and MedTech companies that are interested in testing and piloting their products in the Nordic region.

The Nordic Access Team recently visited Iceland, spanning from the southern to northern regions. This expedition strategically designed to capture the entire spectrum of health landscapes resulted in a profound understanding of healthcare practices and collaborative endeavours.

The first version of the Service that aims to help companies communicate their testing needs to the Testbeds was introduced in November. The Service is developed by the One Stop Funnel for Testing -project run by the City of Aarhus, Region Västerbotten and Arnora Oy.
